She was mentioned as Elizabeth Chappell, widow of Henry Chappell.3

Henry Briggs was the administrator of the estate of Henry Chappell. Although deceased, Henry Chappell and Elizabeth Mason Chappell Briggs were mentioned . To Elisabeth Rives Chappell Presson, widow and relict of Henry, her dower land of 303 acres.4

Although deceased, Elisabeth Rives Chappell Presson was mentioned.7
    Thomas Chappell and Pamela Chappell of Sussex County, Virginia , transferred a deed of property recorded 1 May 1828 to Henry Briggs 101 acres for $75, it being the land assigned to Henry Chappell, a lunatic, now deceased, in the division of the dower land of Elizabeth Presson, widow of Henry Chappell Sr, deceased. Said Thomas Chappell and his wife being entitled to one-fourth of the 101 acres. Although deceased, Elisabeth Rives Chappell Presson was mentioned.8 Her married name was Elisabeth Rives Chappell Presson.

    We Christopher Rives and John Mason both of Albemarle Parish and Sussex County are held and firmly bound unto our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britian France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, in 50 pounds current money of VA to be paid to our said Lord the King his Heirs and Successors. To the which pairment will and truly to be made. We bind ourselves our Heirs, Extrx, and admtrx. Sealed with our seals and dated 2 July 1759.
    Whereas there is a Marriage suddenly itended to be Solomnized between the above bound Christopher Rives and Elizabeth Mason, Spinister. The condition of this present obligation is such that if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the same then this obligation to be Voided else to Remain in full force.
