Elizabeth was living in 1764 when she and Benjamin were listed as plantiffs in a court suit in that year against Peter and Lucy Warren, also of Surry County. She lived until the late 1770s.

To establish his marriage to Elizabeth Warren,
Surry County Deed Book 7, page 473 states: On February
12, 1759, Mary Warren of Surry County, a widow, deeded the
following, for love of my daughter Elizabeth and her husband
Benjamin Ellis, planter, one Negro girl, Lidia." This
was witnessed by John Cooper, Stephen Ellis, and Richard
Cooper.
