      In the Name of God Amen, I WILLIAM WISE of York County & Charles Parish in the
      Colony of Virginia being very weak of body but in perfect mind and memory (thanks to
      Almighty God) do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and
      from following, That is to say. First and principally, I commend my soul into the hands of
      Almighty God hoping that the merits of my blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to enjoy
      perfect joy and bliss at the general resurrection, and my body to the earth to be decently
      buried at the discretion of my executor in hereafter mentioned and as for my worldly
      estate which it hath pleased god to bestow on me "missing" bequeath the same as follows
      (Viz.) I give and bequeath unto my son WILLIAM WISE the plantation or piece of land
      where "missing" contain three hundred & seventy acres with "missing" and to his heirs
      forever. I give and bequeath unto my said son WILLIAM WISE five Negroes known by
      "missing" Jimmy with their increase to him and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath
      unto my son ROBERT WISE one piece or tract of land to be and contain one hundred and
      eighty six acres to begin at the Widow Gray's & running thence to Mr. NUTTINGS to him
      and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my said son ROBERT WISE two young
      Negroes namely young Frank and Dick, to him and his heirs forever with their increase. I
      give and bequeath unto my son CHARLES WISE two Negroes namely Sarah & George
      with their increase to him and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my loving wife
      ELIZABETH WISE during her natural life the use of three Negroes namely Frank, Gofrey
      and Jack to use & employ at her pleasure and at her decease, to be returned unto my son
      CHARLES WISE & be and remain his & his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my
      GOD DAUGHTER ELIZABETH POND, two cow calves with their increase to her and
      her heirs &c. I give and bequeath unto Mr. JOHN CHAPMAN twenty shillings current
      money of Virginia to be paid him on demand. I give and bequeath unto my wife
      ELIZABETH WISE & to my sons WILLIAM, ROBERT & CHARLES WISE an equal
      share of all my goods, chattels & moveable estate, to each an equal share and it is my
      desire and will to have all said moveable appraised as by law directed and my debts and all
      charges paid out of the value of the moveable estate and then each to have an exact &
      equal part. And I do make, ordain, constitute and appoint my true & well beloved wife
      ELIZABETH WISE to be whole and sole executrix of this my Last Will and Testament,
      disannulling & making void all other Will or Wills by me made heretofore and I do ordain
      and appoint Mr. JOHN CHAPMAN to oversee that this my Last Will and Testament be
      effectively performed and fulfilled. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
      seal this 26th day of May Anno Dom: 1728

      At a Court held for York County July 15th 1723. This Will & Testament of Wm. Wise
      deceased was presented in court by Eliza. Wise Ecx. who made oath thereto and being
      proved by all the witnesses is admitted to record.

      Note: At the time this is the only known Elizabeth Pond residing in the area besides her
      mother Elizabeth Pond. This may indicate that Elizabeth Pond the wife of John Pond was
      a " Wise" before her marriage or that William Wise was just a close family friend.
