Departed this life on the 17th of this month (December 17, 1795) in this city (Richmond, Virginia), in the 66th year of her age, Mrs. Jenny Clopton, the consort of Mr. George Clopton. Her virtues, sincerity and truth were equaled by few, and exalled by noon - she was a loving wife, a tender and affectionate parent and a kind mistress. She left a husband and six children to lament her death.
