Note: Her husband, Dr. Richard Henry James, was an alcoholic who abandoned his wife. When he died, the Booth's refused to let him be buried next to his wife, and he was interred on a nearby farm owned by the Rogers family.

Neither ever married, both lived into old age, an they supposedly lived together in Dendron, Surry County, Virginia. Marie Baird attended their funerals during the 1920's, but she is not sure of the exact date. Their names were Agnes Booth and Patrick Booth (no gravestone remains).
