Glenice Boykin Coombs
I have fond memories of my mother, Helen Brittle Boykin (1923-2000), playing the piano while my father Charles C. Boykin Sr. (1915-2004) and all 6 of their children gathered around the old upright to sing. We used to participate in "hymn sings" in Dendron. My mother made red corduroy jumpers with white blouses for the five girls and a red pair ofcorduroy bibbed shorts with a white shirt for my brother. I particularly remember the excitement if the Rollings Family was going to sing. They sang in such perfect harmony!
