CHESTER - Lawrence C. Goodrich (Buddy Carroll), 77, of Chester and formerly of Wakefield, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009.
He is survived by his sisters, Christine C. Warren of Waverly, Doris G.
Tabit and Elva G. Greenstreet, both of Norfolk, Anne G. Scarborough of
Dinwiddie; a brother, C. Lyster Goodrich of Wakefield; a close niece,
Celeste W. Cherry of Waverly; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2008, at the
Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield. The Rev. F. Spencer Price, Dr. Edward J. Stansfield and Dr. Gwynn Davis Jr., will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forest Ave., Richmond, VA 23235; Chester Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2370, Chester, VA 23831; or a charity of your choice.
