Buck was the colonial clergyman who officiated at the marriage of the Indian princess Pocahontas to John Rolfe at Jamestown on April 5, 1614. Rev. Buck also opened with prayer the initial meeting of the first representative legislative assembly held in the New World on July 30, 1619 at Jamestown.
