Prince George Co., Va, and died 1791 in Belfield [Emporia], Greensville Co., Va. He married Anne
Briggs 1728 in Brunswick Co., VA, daughter of Samuel Briggs and Mary Bailey. She was born 1719 in
Virginia, and died 1790 in Sussex Co., Va.

By the will of his father, Edward inherited land in Surry County which fell into Brunswick Co., in 1732.
He had extensive land dealings in Brunswich from 1749-1768. In 1743.. 100 ac;1748..100

1764..200ac.;1765..20 ac.;1768..200 ac. At various times he was sheriff, Justice of brunswich, and
Captian in the Militia. His home plantation fell into Greensville Co. when it was cut from Brunswick in
1781, and there he died in 1791. He left a will.
