The Weiss family is of French orgin, and Mrs. Drake's paternal grandfathe r, John Weiss, came from France to settle in Northampton.
Her father, the late Reuben Weiss, was born 1807 at Bethel, and died
1896. He married Susan Myers, d/o JOhn, who died in Monroe Co, and h ad 10 children; Mary married 1st to Robert Demont and 2nd Frank Bush, of N J, Catharine (Mrs. Drake), John of Northampton, William of Northampton, Lo uisa died age 11, Enos died in childhood, Elizabeth, w/o S. Purdy, Jac ob of Phila. Louis of Scranton and Ida w/o H. Edinger.
