Beverly Booth: Suspect he is the father of Mazey (BOOTH) ONEY TILLOT MADDERA. Waiting for the arrival of his Beverly's will. Beverly had many official interactions with the family of James Oney including taking over his business after James's death. In the will of Robert Booth, Mazey is named as a grandchild of Robert. This usually indicates the grandchild's parent is dead. Beverly is named as a son. Since the Booth name appears in records as early as 1690's, it is possible these may be cousins instead of direct ancestors. Gene, We are working on Lee Genealogy & have hit a wall on William Lee, He is the 6th generation back from me. He married Matilda Oney on Mar 13, 1817, in Botetourt Co Va. He & Matilda are from Surry Co. Va, William was born in 1785, according to censusbooks in Fentress Co Tn. In 1850 census he was 65 years old. I believe he died in 1856 or 1857 in Fentress Co Tn. Matilda moved to Casey Co, Ky. & died inMarch of 1870. She is buried in Casey Co. in Salem Cemetery but I have not been able to locate her grave or her sons grave that is there. I was wondering if yoy might have any info on William Lee Or his ancestors. If you do I would love to talk to you about it.. Carolyn & I are going to come to Richmond, Va before too long.
