    When Powhatan Bonaparte Boaney Sheffield was born on December 13, 1841, in Surry County, Virginia, his father, Meredith, was 26 and his mother, Mary, was 22. He married Virginia Alice Horne on March 14, 1867. They had nine children in 23 years. He died in March 1902 in Richmond, Virginia, at the age of 60, and was buried in Richmond City, Virginia.

    Yes...this is my grandmother. Christina Forsyth was my mother.

    Lena Ida Sheffield Forsyth born 23 Oct 1874, died 30 July 1964.
    Lena married Alexander Forsyth on 3 Sept 1912. (Alexander was born in Scotland and came to America at age 22). Alexander was born in Scotland on 31 Jan 1886 and died in Richmond, VA on 16 April 1940. Lena and Alexander are both buried at Maury Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.
