    From Justin:
Justin Landon Horne was born April 24, 1956 in Richmond, VA. He was raised in the family home on Jessup Road where the family moved when he was just 6 weeks old. His sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" Eunice Horne, joined the family 14 months later on July 2, 1957. Appropriately, Justin's father's fishing boat had 2- 18 horsepower outboard motors year models 1956 & 1957. The family frequently would go fishing (almost every weekend, weather permitting) in the 18' long WWII Army surplus 1/2 pontoon boat, that Justin still uses today.
In 1974, Justin graduated from Meadowbrook High School in Chesterfield County, VA, where he was a member of the Math Club Society. He was accepted into both colleges he applied to: Virginia Tech, and Bluefield College. He graduated from Bluefield College in 1976, with an Associates of Science, and that is where he met his future wife, Martha Jean White. They both transferred to Madison College and there Justin earned a B.S. in Physics with a Math minor, and lacked only 1 credit of earning a double minor with high school education. They were in the first graduating class, 1978, of James Madison University, in Harrisonburg, VA. Justin & Martha married, shortly after graduation, on May 20, 1978. Justin & Martha moved to Wake Forest, NC. There, he studied for the Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated in 1981 with a dual degree of Masters of Divinity & Religious Education. Justin earned a Masters degree there, however; Martha earned her P.H.T. degree, "Putting Hubby Thru" as one of the Seminary's Assistant Circulation Librarians.
After five years of marriage, Pamela Gayle Horne entered their family on May 25, 1983. Pamela suffered from birth trauma and as a result is severely retarded and experienced over 50,000 seizures in just the first 6 months of her life. Her Neurologist commented that in his now 35+ years of practice, she has had the most seizures of anyone he has known, who lived. She has been a blessing to all who have met her and is usually the center of attention in a gathering. Pamela graduated from Atlee High School in 2005, and continues to live with Martha and Justin.
Justin served in several churches during his ministry in North Carolina and Virginia from 1979 to 1998. The most remote location was on Chincoteague Island, VA, 1983-87 and the longest tenure was 8 years in King George, VA, 1989-97. Justin moved back to Richmond to be close to and take care of his aging parents in 1997. As of 2006, Justin has completed his 8th year with Capital One Financial. Justin and Martha are now working on building their new home, which they designed, in the woods behind the family home on Jessup Rd. Justin purchased a used tractor in the spring of 2006 and plans to clear much of the property himself on his days off.
